Estudo da aplicação da enzima celulase no tecido denim

Abstract

A indústria de jeanswear é responsável pela produção de milhões de peças anualmente, seja para exportação ou para o mercado interno e é um segmento em expansão, tanto em valores, quanto em consumo. O processo de “Stonewash” é um processo físico-químico que promove um desgaste nas peças jeans e provoca uma marcação de costuras e um desbote em relação a cor do tecido cru. Cada vez mais os tecidos denim são beneficiados com a aplicação de enzimas celulase, que promovem uma degradação no tecido denim e facilitam a marcação das peças pela ação física promovida pelo atrito gerado pelas lavadoras. O objetivo desse trabalho é conhecer cientificamente a ação da enzima celulase no processo de lavagem “Stonewash” é fundamental para avaliar como a sua aplicação em concentrações variáveis pode desbotar o tecido denim e deixar as peças jeans com a aparência de roupa desbotada e demarcada. A metodologia é uma pesquisa quantitativa que teve o objetivo de avaliar os processos de lavagens que foram feitos alterando a quantidade de enzima e mantendo os outros pontos como relação de banho, tempo e temperatura fixos. Nessa primeira etapa todos os testes foram submetidos ao processo de desativação química da enzima aplicada. A avaliação dos tecidos em relação a resistência foi realizada pelo método de resistência a tração. Os corpos de prova foram cortados em formato de tira com 5cm de largura e 30cm de cumprimento, e após passar pelo processo de lavagem Stonewash foram realizados os testes de resistência a tração pelo equipamento chamado dinamômetro e os resultados obtidos em formato de gráfico

The jeanswear industry is responsible for the production of millions of pieces annually, whether for export or for the domestic market, and is a growing segment, both in terms of value and consumption. The “Stonewash” process is a physicalchemical process that causes wear and tear on denim pieces and causes seams to be marked and the color of the raw fabric to fade. Increasingly, denim fabrics are benefiting from the application of cellulase enzymes, which promote degradation in the denim fabric and facilitate the marking of the pieces by the physical action promoted by the friction generated by the washers. The objective of this study is to scientifically understand the action of the cellulase enzyme in the “Stonewash” washing process. It is essential to assess how its application in varying concentrations can fade denim fabric and leave denim pieces with the appearance of faded and marked clothing. The methodology is a quantitative research that aimed to evaluate the washing processes that were carried out by changing the amount of enzyme and keeping other points such as bath ratio, time and temperature fixed. In this first stage, all tests were subjected to the chemical deactivation process of the applied enzyme. The evaluation of the fabrics in relation to resistance was carried out by the tensile strength method. The test specimens were cut into strips measuring 5 cm wide and 30 cm long, and after undergoing the Stonewash washing process, tensile strength tests were carried out using equipment called a dynamometer and the results obtained were presented in graph format
