| Abstract: | A cidade de Sorocaba possui aproximadamente 762 mil habitantes, segundo estimativas do IBGE, e esse crescimento urbano tem intensificado os desafios logísticos. Fatores como chuvas intensas e o aumento do fluxo de veículos contribuem significativamente para os congestionamentos e atrasos nas entregas. Em 2024, o Procon-SP registrou um elevado número de reclamações relacionadas ao atraso de entregas no município. |
| Description: | The city of Sorocaba currently has 762,172 inhabitants, according to estimates by IBGE. This urban growth has intensified logistical challenges. The chaos caused by rain and the heavy traffic of tourists contributes significantly to congestion. In 2024, Procon SP recorded the highest number of complaints related to delivery delays in Sorocaba. As a result, smart logistics/routing is an urgent need. These challenges are presented to urban logistics, which seeks solutions and has tools to help improve the quality of life for the people of Sorocaba. |
