A importância da educação financeira no ensino médio: um olhar sobre a ETEC Benedito Storani

Abstract

Este artigo científico aborda a relevância crucial da Educação Financeira como componente integral do currículo escolar, com ênfase na Escola Técnica Etec Benedito Storani, situada em Jundiaí, São Paulo. Preocupantes dados do Serviço de Proteção ao Crédito (SPC) ressaltam a gravidade do problema: 46% dos indivíduos entre 25 e 29 anos e 19% da faixa etária entre 18 e 24 anos enfrentam questões relacionadas à inadimplência. Essas estatísticas evidenciam a urgente necessidade de incluir a Educação Financeira como disciplina essencial nas instituições educacionais. Nesse contexto, a pesquisa investiga a importância de incorporar a Educação Financeira como um componente obrigatório no currículo escolar e analisa os potenciais desafios que podem surgir durante sua implementação efetiva. O principal objetivo do ensino da Educação Financeira nas escolas é promover o desenvolvimento das competências financeiras dos estudantes. Essa abordagem visa fomentar maior conscientização e responsabilidade em relação às finanças pessoais, capacitando os alunos a encararem o mundo financeiro com confiança e habilidade. Ao longo deste estudo, examinamos o interesse demonstrado pelos alunos e professores pelo tema da Educação Financeira, com foco especial na Escola Técnica Estadual (ETEC) Benedito Storani. Essa análise ressalta a importância da Educação Financeira como um investimento essencial no preparo dos alunos para enfrentar os desafios financeiros, contribuindo assim para uma sociedade mais consciente e economicamente estável.

This scientific article addresses the crucial relevance of Financial Education as an integral component of the school curriculum, with emphasis on the Technical School Etec Benedito Storani, located in Jundiaí, São Paulo. Worrying data from the Credit Protection Service (SPC) highlights the seriousness of the problem: 46% of individuals between 25 and 29 years old and 19% of the age group between 18 and 24 years old face issues related to default. These statistics show the urgent need to include Financial Education as an essential discipline in educational institutions. In this context, the research investigates the importance of incorporating Financial Education as a mandatory component in the school curriculum and analyzes the potential challenges that may arise during its effective implementation. The main objective of teaching Financial Education in schools is to promote the development of students' financial skills. This approach aims to foster greater awareness and responsibility around personal finances, enabling students to face the financial world with confidence and skill. Throughout this study, we examined the interest shown by students and teachers in the subject of Financial Education, with a special focus on the Benedito Storani State Technical School (ETEC). This analysis underscores the importance of Financial Education as an essential investment in preparing students to face financial challenges, thus contributing to a more conscious and economically stable society.
