Conhecimento sobre o lixo orgânico e o processo de compostagem: investigação e estudo de caso numa escola de ensino técnico de Araraquara-SP

Abstract

Devido ao aumento populacional nas cidades e consequentemente o consumo da população, o descarte dos resíduos produzidos tornou-se uma problemática, por falta de formas adequadas de tratamento desse lixo e descarte incorreto do mesmo, trazendo a contaminação do solo e água. A compostagem é um processo de biodegradação de lixo orgânico, onde pode ser utilizado qualquer tipo de resíduo proveniente de origem animal ou vegetal. Ela vem como uma forma alternativa e melhorada para o uso de dejeto urbano e domiciliar. Esse trabalho justifica-se a fim de propagar o conhecimento sobre o tema abordado. O objetivo foi avaliar o conhecimento sobre e desenvolver um manual e folder informativo sobre como fazer a compostagem.O método envolveu a avaliaçãodo nível de conhecimento das pessoas sobre o tema, por meio de um questionário investigativo aplicado a 53 alunos do curso Técnico de Nível Médio em Nutrição e Dietética da ETEC “Profª Anna de Oliveira Ferraz”. Portanto, concluiu-se que as pessoas já ouviram falar sobre compostagem, mas não é colocado em prática. Com base no questionário, foi produzido o manual e o folder informativo sobre compostagem bemcomo sua forma de realização. Palavras-chave: Compostagem. Resíduo. Manual. Composto Orgânico.

Due to the population increase in the cities and consequently the consumption of the population, the disposal of the waste produced has become problematic, due to the lack of adequate ways of treating this waste and incorrect disposal of it, bringing soil and water contamination. Composting is a process of biodegradation of organic waste, where any type of waste from animal or vegetable origin can be used. It comes as an alternative and improved way to use urban and domestic waste. This work is justified in order to propagate the knowledge about the topic addressed. The objective was to evaluate the knowledge about and develop a manual and information leaflet on how to do composting. The method involved the evaluation of the level of knowledge of the people on the subject, through an investigative questionnaire applied to 53 students of the ETEC "Profª Anna de Oliveira Ferraz". Therefore, it has been concluded that people have heard about composting, but it is not put into practice. Based on the questionnaire, the compost manual and leaflet were produced as well as its form. Keywords: Composting. Manual Waste. Compound Organic.
