The methodology adopted to carry out this work was bibliographic research through articles and books on religions. At the end of this work, it is possible to note that African-based religions have cultural and religious diversity that should not be minimized in just one religion. This work seeks to show the origins, cultural aspects and festivities, highlighting in particular the orixás of candomblé and umbanda, in order to demonstrate that these religions are not demonic, and that the event manager can understand, thus respecting precepts.
