Riscos dos perfurocortantes na enfermagem.

Abstract

Os acidentes de trabalho são umas das maiores preocupações das empresas, acontecem em grande número e podem afetar o trabalhador, a família e a empresa. Os acidentes que ocorrem em hospitais e envolvem perfurocortantes, aumentam os riscos de contaminação biológica e a equipe de enfermagem é a que mais está exposta aos riscos por atuarem diretamente no desenvolvimento de procedimentos com esses materiais. O objetivo geral do estudo foi de analisar e expor os tipos de riscos existentes e as doenças que os trabalhadores podem contrair ao sofrerem algum acidente com perfurocortantes. Baseado nos dados recebidos pela Santa Casa de Misericórdia de Fernandópolis foram traçadas medidas de prevenção e controle de acidentes envolvendo os colaboradores da área da saúde. Em uma visita realizada pelos integrantes do grupo ao hospital, foram entregues folhetos ao responsável pelo SESMT (Serviço Especializado em Engenharia de Segurança e em Medicina do Trabalho), com informações de segurança e prevenção, que serão usados na SIPAT (Semana Interna de Prevenção de Acidentes de Trabalho) e podem contribuir para conscientização e reconhecimento dos colaboradores aos riscos que estão expostos em seu ambiente laboral.

Accidents at work are one of the biggest concerns of companies, they happen in large numbers and can affect the worker, the family and the company. Accidents that occur in hospitals and involve sharps, increase the risks of biological contamination and the nursing team is the one that is most exposed to the risks by acting directly in the development of procedures with these materials. The overall objective of the study was to analyze and expose the types of existing risks and diseases that workers may contract when they suffer from a sharps injury. Based on the data received by the Santa Casa de Misericordia de Fernandópolis, measures were taken to prevent and control accidents involving health workers. During a visit made by members of the group to the hospital, leaflets were delivered to the responsible SESMT (Specialized Service in Safety Engineering and Occupational Medicine), with information on safety and prevention, which will be used in SIPAT (Internal Prevention Week Accidents at Work) and can contribute to the awareness and recognition of employees to the risks that are exposed in their work environment.
