The insertion of Artificial Intelligence in human resources management is studied, more specifically in recruitment and selection. The objectives of this study are: to present the perceptions of Human Resources professionals in relation to the benefits that artificial intelligence has brought to the processes of recruitment and selection of people, to understand the challenges that involve the adoption of artificial intelligence in HR and to present the benefits of using it. of artificial intelligence in R&S and demonstrate the main methods of artificial intelligence used in recruitment and selection. This is exploratory-descriptive research with a qualitative approach. Human resources managers from the Alto Tietê region participated in the survey, from different hierarchical levels, grouped into 4 categories: I) members of the Management and Board of Directors; II) Analysts, Advisors, Specialists and Consultants; III) Supervisors, Coordinators and HR Managers; IV) HR Assistants and Auxiliaries. The data collection instrument was applied during the period from March 16 to 25, 2022 The results showed that 41.7% of the participants rated the speed of the selection processes using the A.I as excellent, 50% good and 8.33 % fair, and 0% bad; Regarding the strategic approach of Artificial Intelligence, 25% of respondents rated it as excellent, 29.16% good, 25% fair, 20.83% poor. As for the aid of Artificial Intelligence in decision making, 12.5% of respondents considered it excellent, 54.16% good, 29.16% fair, 4.16% bad. Regarding the accuracy of the results using artificial systems, 33.33% of the participants estimated it as excellent, 33.33% good, 25% fair, 8.33% bad. It was concluded that the selection of algorithms that work as a basis for the selection of new employees, must take into account machine learning as much as the cognitive process of human beings, to be morally correct, safe and viable for the job market, and, that the challenges generated by the use of artificial technologies in the area of Human Resources attract extreme attention since they slip into ethical paradoxes, data security, and employability.
