generativas.
Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become a technology present in everyday life, being used in applications, banking systems, search engines, and various other digital tools. Its goal is to allow computers to perform tasks that would normally require human intelligence, such as learning, analyzing information, and making decisions. Although it offers significant benefits, such as increased productivity, reduced errors, and advances in the health field, it also raises concerns related to unemployment, privacy, and information security. This work was developed through bibliographic and documentary research, using academic and institutional sources. The focus was on gathering up-to-date information on the evolution of AI and its impacts on society. Historically, the area advanced significantly with the emergence of Big Data, GPUs, and Machine Learning, driving the development of generative AIs. In the field of information security, AI acts both as a threat, through risks like data poisoning and deepfakes, and as a protection tool by monitoring networks in real time. In Brazil, the use of AI is growing rapidly, but the benefits are still unevenly distributed, reinforcing the need for public policies focused on digital education and inclusion. It is concluded that Artificial Intelligence represents a profound transformation in society and information security, and its responsible use, combined with human oversight, is essential to maximize its benefits and minimize its negative impacts. |
