Relatos, cultura e história: a festa junina de Pirapozinho (FEJUPI) e sua importância para os moradores do município.

Abstract

A FEJUPI é uma tradicional festa junina realizada da cidade de Pirapozinho – SP, é comemorada em homenagem ao padroeiro da cidade, São João Batista. O evento foi idealizado e teve sua primeira edição em 1988 e ocupa um importante espaço no imaginário dos moradores do município e da região. O objetivo deste artigo é apresentar um levantamento de informações sobre a FEJUPI destacando a importância da festa junina realizada no município de Pirapozinho para seus moradores. Foi realizada uma pesquisa qualitativa junto à moradores no qual registros fotográficos e relatos foram coletados, além de uma pesquisa quantitativa, contendo três perguntas, disponibilizada pelo Microsoft Forms. O artigo apresenta relatos atuais, imagens antigas e pontos de vista dos moradores do município de Pirapozinho sobre a FEJUPI e importância que o evento tem para o município. Sendo assim, foi possível verificar as relações e identificações entre o evento, o espaço onde é realizado e as pessoas que nele habitam.

FEJUPI is a traditional June festival held in the city of Pirapozinho - SP, it is celebrated in honor of the patron saint of the city, São João Batista. The event was idealized and had its first edition in 1988 and occupies an important space in the imagination of residents of the municipality and region. The objective of this article is to present a survey about FEJUPI, highlighting the importance of the June festival held in the municipality of Pirapozinho for its residents. A qualitative survey was carried out with residents in which photographic records and reports were collected. In addition, a quantitative survey was carried out, containing three questions made available by forms. The article presents current reports, old images, and points of view of residents of the municipality of Pirapozinho about FEJUPI and the importance of the event for the municipality. Thus, it was possible to verify the relationships and identifications between the event, the space where it takes place and the people who inhabit it.
