A dificuldade da ressocialização dos egressos do sistema prisional

Abstract

Esse trabalho apresenta barreiras ao processo de reinserção social dos ex-detentos, tendo como objetivo identificar como a educação o apoio e a execução da lei podem cooperar para com a inclusão do indivíduo. Foram realizadas entrevistas com egressos do sistema prisional, Vara de Execução Penal de Itararé SP, Ministério Público de Itararé SP, e questionário quantitativo aplicado a grupos distintos da sociedade com o intuito de compreender suas percepções sobre o tema em questão. Após essa análise, foi possível identificar que a cultura punitiva e exclusiva presente nos dias de hoje é resultado de milhares de anos focados na repreensão ignorando a ressocialização, problema qual se agrava com a quebra de vínculos familiares, limitadas oportunidades de emprego, um sistema educacional que não atende as necessidades do egresso e políticas públicas ineficientes, conclusões quais emergiram das falas dos entrevistados. Destaca-se a necessidade de mudança prática das políticas estatais e a urgência de uma reestrutura cultural acerca da visão social aos egressos do sistema prisional. Dessa forma, o estudo evidencia que superar essas barreiras exige não apenas reformas estruturais, mas também uma mudança profunda na percepção social sobre o indivíduo pós-prisional.

This study presents barriers to the social reintegration process of ex- detainees, aiming to identify how education, support, and law enforcement can cooperate toward the individual's inclusion. Interviews were conducted with ex-offenders from the penal system, the Penal Execution Court of Itarare, SP, the Public Prosecutor's Office of Itararé, SP, and a quantitative questionnaire was applied to distinct groups of society to understand their perceptions of the theme in question. Following this analysis, it was possible to identify that the punitive and exclusive culture present today is the result of thousands of years focused on repression, ignoring re-socialization, a problem which is aggravated by the breakdown of family ties, limited employment opportunities, an educational system that does not meet the needs of the ex-offender, and inefficient public policies, conclusions that emerged from the interviewees' statements. The need for a practical change in state policies and the urgency of a cultural restructuring regarding the social view of ex-offenders is highlighted. Thus, the study demonstrates that overcoming these barriers requires not only structural reforms but also a profound change in social perception about the post-penal individual.
