Arquitetura gótica: liberdade e isolamento, a correlação entre o encarceramento feminino na era medieval e a opressão sofrida na atualidade

Abstract

Esse estudo objetivou relacionar através da Arquitetura Gótica, a opressão sofrida pelas mulheres na Era Medieval com a opressão sofrida pelas mulheres atualmente. Tendo como motivação trazer uma reflexão sobre como a Arquitetura Gótica reforçava a segregação de gênero; a liberdade das mulheres em relação aos seus corpos e compreender a construção do pensamento machista e sua visão da mulher na sociedade. Portanto, o trabalho tem como objetivo a reflexão do papel da mulher na sociedade a partir do contexto medieval até os dias atuais, colocando em pauta a segregação de gênero, a liberdade feminina e o encarceramento de seus corpos através da vestimenta.

This study aimed to relate, through Gothic Architecture, the oppression suffered by women in the Medieval Era with the oppression suffered by women today. Its motivation was to provoke reflection on how Gothic Architecture reinforced gender segregation; the freedom of women in relation to their bodies, and to understand the construction of sexist thought and its view of women in society. Therefore, the objective of the work is to reflect on the role of women in society from the medieval context to the present day, addressing issues of gender segregation, female freedom, and the confinement of their bodies through clothing.
