Impacto da estrutura organizacional no desempenho de atletas de esports no Brasil.

Abstract

O trabalho tem como objetivo analisar as diferentes estruturas organizacionais presentes em equipes de esports distintas que atuam no Brasil e buscar a compreensão de como elas afetam a performance de seus atletas. A relevância do trabalho se dá pela carência de informações sobre o tema, em que a viabilidade de possíveis soluções é de suma importância para o desenvolvimento do cenário de esporte eletrônico brasileiro. O estudo realizado busca entender e analisar a filosofia de trabalho de duas diferentes estruturas organizacionais e que atuam em diferentes modalidades, à fim de trazer discussões acerca destes modelos e compreendê-los através de seus resultados durante o ano de 2024. A escolha das equipes analisadas foi feita de forma minuciosa, para que seja comparada duas realidades dessemelhantes, visto que uma delas está mais consolidada no mercado (maiores investimentos, visibilidade e também, uma das empresas mais antigas no ramo brasileiro, fundada em 2010), sendo uma referência no ponto de vista organizacional e a outra, trata-se de uma organização mais jovem, fundada em 2022 e que ainda trilha os caminhos para se tornar uma das maiores do país. Essa análise é efetuada através de pesquisas sobre o histórico das duas equipes, entrevistas com membros do staff e seus resultados recentes. Diante do conteúdo apresentado, foi percebido que o cenário ideal é proporcionar aos atletas um ambiente em que estes possam focar somente ao esporte, sem a preocupação de outras atividades que seriam capazes de atrapalhar sua rotina diária de treino, na intenção de obter sucesso.

The objective of this study is to analyze the different organizational structures present in distinct esports teams operating in Brazil and to understand how they affect their athletes' performance. The relevance of this work stems from the scarcity of information on the topic, where the feasibility of potential solutions is crucial for the development of the Brazilian esports scene. This study seeks to understand and analyze the working philosophies of two different organizational structures operating in distinct modalities to foster discussions on these models and comprehend them through their outcomes during 2024. The selection of teams for analysis was made meticulously, allowing for a comparison between two contrasting realities: one of which is well-established in the market (with greater investment, visibility, and also as one of the oldest organizations in the Brazilian esports industry, founded in 2010), serving as a reference from an organizational standpoint; while the other is a younger organization, founded in 2022, still navigating its path toward becoming one of the country’s largest. This analysis is conducted through research on the historical background of the two teams, interviews with staff members, and their recent results. Based on the presented findings, it was observed that the ideal scenario is to provide athletes with an environment where they can focus solely on the sport, free from concerns about other activities that could disrupt their daily training routine, with the aim of achieving success.
