Inclusão digital e cibersegurança: como a exclusão tecnológica da terceira idade afeta a segurança da informação.

Abstract

Este artigo investiga a correlação entre a inclusão digital da terceira idade e a cibersegurança, com foco em salientar que a exclusão tecnológica deste grupo afeta a segurança da informação. Visto que o avanço tecnológico mundial ocorre de maneira gradativa, nota-se a necessidade de fundamentar as barreiras enfrentadas por pessoas da terceira idade com tecnologias atuais. Abrangendo conhecimentos sobre engenharia social e segurança da informação, o projeto foi realizado com uma pesquisa exploratória via formulário em Araraquara/SP, que obteve resultados que auxiliam a visualizar como indivíduos acima de 60 anos se tornam alvos de ataques cibernéticos por falta de conhecimento digital. A análise revela que mensagens falsas e fraudulentas são os ataques mais comuns enfrentados por esse público. O objetivo central da pesquisa é de compreender os impactos da falta de inclusão digital nas vidas de usuários idosos e junto a isso, garantir visibilidade para o público-alvo, criando métodos que podem suprir suas necessidades.

This article investigates the correlation between the digital inclusion of the elderly and cybersecurity, focusing on highlighting that the technological exclusion of this group affects information security. Given that global technological advancement occurs progressively, there is a noticeable need to substantiate the barriers faced by the elderly with current technologies. Encompassing knowledge regarding social engineering and information security, the project was carried out through an exploratory survey in Araraquara/SP, yielding results that help visualize how individuals over 60 years of age become targets of cyberattacks due to a lack of digital knowledge. The analysis reveals that fake and fraudulent messages are the most common attacks faced by this demographic. The central objective of the research is to understand the impacts of the lack of digital inclusion on the lives of elderly users and, alongside this, to ensure visibility for the target audience by creating methods that can meet their needs.
