Educação especializada para transtorno do espectro autista

Abstract

Este trabalho investiga as falhas do sistema de educação especial em Itararé-SP, com foco na inclusão de estudantes com Transtorno do Espectro Autista (TEA). A fim de compreender os principais obstáculos que as instituições encontram para atender esses estudantes, foram efetuadas pesquisas bibliográficas, análises de documentos e entrevistas com profissionais da educação, familiares, especialistas da área e alunos. Com base na identificação desses obstáculos como a ausência de formação continuada destinada a os professores e falta de infraestrutura adequada foi criado o projeto “Inclua-me”, que propõe a criação de um espaço educativo voltado para a educação especial. O objetivo do projeto é oferecer um ambiente de ensino flexível, inovador e adaptado às demandas específicas de cada aluno, incorporando métodos modernos e recursos multidisciplinares que promovam o desenvolvimento emocional e social dos estudantes com TEA. O estudo realizado evidenciou que, apesar de avanços legais e aumento nas matrículas, ainda há grandes desafios na educação de alunos com TEA em Itararé, especialmente no que diz respeito à qualidade do atendimento, estrutura das instituições e capacitação profissional. Concluiu-se que a criação de um espaço educativo especializado para autistas no município é fundamental, pois proporcionaria um ambiente mais adequado e sensível às necessidades desses estudantes. Assim, a construção de um espaço educativo representa não apenas uma necessidade local, mas um passo essencial na promoção dos direitos e da diversidade no sistema educacional, servindo de base para futuras ações e políticas públicas.

This study investigates the shortcomings of the special education system in Itararé, São Paulo, focusing on the inclusion of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). In order to understand the main obstacles that institutions face in serving these students, bibliographic research, document analysis, and interviews were conducted with education professionals, family members, specialists in the field, and students. Based on the identification of these obstacles, such as the lack of continuing education for teachers and the absence of adequate infrastructure, the project “Include Me” (“Inclua-me”) was created, proposing the establishment of an educational space dedicated to special education. The goal of the project is to provide a flexible, innovative learning environment adapted to the specific needs of each student, incorporating modern methods and multidisciplinary resources that foster the emotional and social development of students with ASD. The study showed that, despite legal advances and an increase in enrollment, there are still major challenges in educating students with ASD in Itararé, especially regarding the quality of services, the structure of institutions, and professional training. It was concluded that creating a specialized educational space for autistic students in the municipality is essential, as it would offer an environment more suitable and sensitive to their needs. Thus, the construction of such an educational space represents not only a local necessity but also an important step toward promoting rights and diversity within the educational system, serving as a foundation for future actions and public policies.
