Maus tratos contra os animais domésticos

Abstract

Na atualidade, os animais domésticos são tão importantes para as pessoas, a ponto de alguns destes terem o privilégio de tratamento e afeto como verdadeiros entes familiares, enquanto outros tantos sofrem extremas crueldades e abandono. Por que isso acontece? Esta pergunta direciona este projeto a colocar em foco, os maus tratos contra os animais domésticos e a levar seus leitores a uma reflexão sobre a relação entre os atos de crueldade com os animais e a característica violenta da sociedade, bem como seus efeitos danosos sobre nosso meio ambiente. Para esta reflexão, é necessário a elevação do conhecimento da população quanto as leis existentes, qual ao seu papel frente as condições de vida dos animais e como estas condições influenciam a sociedade e o meio ambiente em que vivemos. Além disso, é importante conhecer a milenar relação de convivência entre os homes e os animais; a importância desta relação na evolução econômica, tecnológica e social da humanidade; como nesta evolução, alguns animais foram elevados à condição de ser de importante papel na vida e no bem-estar do ser humano e como chegamos aos chamados animais domésticos tão presentes na sociedade em nossa atualidade. A realização deste estudo fundamenta-se na Constituição Brasileira de 1988, Código Penal Brasileiro, Declaração Universal dos Direitos dos animais, revisões bibliográficas de vários autores, artigos de revistas científicas, sites especializados e na realização de pesquisa via website, fundamentada na obtenção do nível de conhecimento da população sobre as leis em vigor.

Today, domestic animals are so important to people that some of them have the privilege of treatment and affection as true family members, while so many suffer extreme cruelty and neglect. Why does it happen? This question directs this project to focus on ill-treatment of domestic animals and to lead its readers to a reflection on the relationship between acts of cruelty to animals and the violent character of society, as well as their damaging effects on our environment. For this reflection, it is necessary to raise the knowledge of the population as to the existing laws, as to their role in relation to the living conditions of the animals and how these conditions influence the society and the environment in which we live. In addition, it is important to know the millennial relation of coexistence between men and animals; the importance of this relationship in the economic, technological and social evolution of humanity; as in this evolution, some animals were elevated to the condition of being of important role in the life and well being of the human being and how we arrived at the so-called domestic animals so present in the society in our actuality. This study is based on the Brazilian Constitution of 1988, the Brazilian Penal Code, the Universal Declaration of Animal Rights, bibliographic reviews of various authors, articles from scientific journals, specialized websites and in the conduct of research via website, based on obtaining the level knowledge of the population on the laws in force.
