| Abstract: | A Síndrome de Burnout é um dos muitos transtornos mentais que afetam os profissionais de enfermagem, particularmente em locais de trabalho que exigem alto manejo das emoções. É um fenômeno psicossocial que ocorre após exposição prolongada a estressores interpessoais, comuns hoje no dia a dia e principalmente no trabalho na área da saúde. Enfermeiros e técnicos de enfermagem estão entre os mais suscetíveis e expostos a esse esgotamento, em razão da combinação de fatores como extensas jornadas de trabalho, concorrentes responsabilidades, pressão constante e, principalmente, pela significativa obrigação pela vida de seus pacientes. Em relação ao Burnout no Brasil, os níveis entre os profissionais de enfermagem têm crescido, propulsionados pelas condições de trabalho inadequadas, sobrecarga emocional e falta de reconhecimento profissional. Este estudo consiste em uma revisão integrativa da literatura, com o propósito de examinar a Síndrome de Burnout em profissionais de enfermagem, atualizando os conceitos, causas e fatores de risco relacionados a essa condição, a fim de propor e promover medidas preventivas não só por parte dos funcionários, mas também com a participação das instituições de saúde responsáveis pelos mesmos. tions responsible for them.Burnout syndrome is one of many mental disorders that affect nursing professionals, particularly in workplaces that require high emotional management.
