A influência da cultura do estupro na violência obstétrica com base nas sociedades patriarcais

Abstract

Desde os primórdios o Brasil se estabeleceu como uma sociedade patriarcal, onde os homens eram os únicos detentores de poder. Sendo assim, esses comandavam não só a sociedade como um todo, como também as mulheres presentes nela, seus corpos e vivências. Daí se estabelece uma ligação com a cultura do estupro, onde o corpo daquele(a) que é estuprado é tido como um objeto, e suas emoções são fortemente desconsideradas. Isso se mostra culturalmente por meio da violência simbólica, ou seja, não há a violência física ou sexual efetivada, mas o assédio, falas misóginas e reprodução do machismo são cotidianas dentro desta cultura, fazendo com que aquele que abusa seja isento de seus atos, e a vitima sofra a culpabilização pelo ato. Na violência obstétrica os sentimentos são semelhantes aos de quem sofre com o estupro: culpabilização, problemas psicológicos futuros, problemas físicos devido a ambos os impactos, etc. Por muito tempo se falou de violência obstétrica apenas como um possível erro médico, não levando em conta o machismo presente dentro de tal ato, muitas vezes proposital, feito por homens e para agradar homens sobre o corpo de uma mulher. Estabelece-se então uma correlação sobre a cultura do estupro e a violência obstétrica dentro das sociedades patriarcais, levando em conta que as mesmas são advindas do machismo estrutural presente, não só no Brasil, como no mundo inteiro. Entendendo que as mesmas por diversas vezes estão ligadas diretamente, e principalmente, indiretamente, assim como se relacionam com outras formas de violência, sendo necessário destacar o racismo como fator fundamental no direcionamento de ambas as violências.

Since the beginning, Brazil has established itself as a patriarchal society, where men were the only holders of power. Thus, they commanded not only the society as a whole, but also the women present in it, their bodies and experiences. Then a connection is established with the culture of rape, where the body of the one who is raped is held as an object, and their emotions are strongly disregarded. This is shown culturally through symbolic violence, that is, there is no physical or sexual violence effective, but harassment, misogynistic speech and reproduction of chauvinism are daily within this culture, making that the abuser is exempt from their acts, and the victim suffers the blame for the act. In obstetric violence, feelings are similar to those of those who suffer from rape: blame, future psychological problems, physical problems due to both impacts, etc. For a long time, obstetric violence was spoken of only as a possible medical error, not taking into account the chauvinism present within such an act, often purposeful, made by men and to please men over the body of a woman. A correlation is then established between the culture of rape and obstetric violence within patriarchal societies, taking into account that they are the result of the structural chauvinism present, not only in Brazil, but in the whole world. Understanding that they are several times directly and, mainly, indirectly linked, as well as related to other forms of violence, it is necessary to highlight racism as a fundamental factor in the direction of both forms of violence.
