Taça das Favelas SP 2024: um levantamento do processo de organização da competição esportiva

Abstract

Resumo: A presente pesquisa teve como objetivo analisar o processo de organização da Taça das Favelas, identificando os desafios estruturais e institucionais enfrentados na edição de 2024 e o impacto percebido pelas atletas participantes. Enquanto metodologia, a pesquisa se caracteriza como qualitativa, do tipo descritiva, em que os dados foram coletados por meio de questionário, tendo enquanto participantes atletas da competição. Os resultados indicaram inicialmente que a edição de 2024 da Taça das Favelas evidenciou diversas dificuldades enfrentadas pela organização do evento, sobretudo relacionadas a fatores climáticos, estruturais e institucionais, como as fortes chuvas em São Paulo que inviabilizaram a final masculina no Pacaembú. Os participantes mencionaram, conjuntamente ao fator climático, que a competição sofre com a precariedade da infraestrutura esportiva, a carência de apoio institucional, e a dependência de parcerias e recursos financeiros, evidenciando a escassez de incentivo ao futebol feminino e a pouca valorização dos atletas periféricos. Conclui-se com a pesquisa que o evento, apesar das dificuldades operacionais e institucionais, reforça a urgência de investimentos e planejamento estratégico para assegurar sua continuidade como ferramenta essencial de inclusão social e fomento ao esporte nas comunidades, destacando a necessidade de maior apoio estrutural para a categoria feminina. Abstract: The present research aimed to analyze the organizational process of the Taça das Favelas (Favelas Cup), identifying the structural and institutional challenges faced in the 2024 edition and the impact perceived by the participating athletes. In terms of methodology, the research is characterized as qualitative and descriptive, with data collected through questionnaires, having the competition's athletes as participants. Initial results indicated that the 2024 edition of the Taça das Favelas evidenced various difficulties faced by the event's organization, primarily related to climatic, structural, and institutional factors, such as the heavy rainfall in São Paulo that made the men's final at Pacaembú Stadium unfeasible. The participants mentioned, along with the climatic factor, that the competition suffers from precarious sports infrastructure, a lack of institutional support, and dependence on partnerships and financial resources, highlighting the scarcity of incentives for women's football and the low appreciation of athletes originating from Brazilian peripheries. The research concludes that the event, despite operational and institutional difficulties, reinforces the urgency of investments and strategic planning to ensure its continuity as an essential tool for social inclusion and the promotion of sports in the communities, emphasizing the need for greater structural support for the women's category.
