Estudo de caso sobre a melhoria da estrutura e condições com vistas ao bem-estar animal durante 6 meses na unidade escolar Etec Dr. José Luiz Viana Coutinho, no município de Jales-SP

Abstract

O objetivo geral do projeto é promover melhorias no ambiente e nos equipamentos atualmente utilizados na criação de aves de postura, com foco no bem-estar animal. Foi possível concluir alguns dos seguintes objetivos: a otimização dos equipamentos utilizados prevenindo o desperdício de ração e melhora na regulagem dos bebedouros evitando vazamento e permitindo um fluxo adequado da água de forma a fornece-la sempre limpa e em quantidade necessária. Ao avaliar o bem-estar animal foi observado uma mudança no comportamento das aves, pelo aumento de novos equipamentos. As evidências, conforme as pesquisas realizadas, foi uma reforma adequada em vista ao bem-estar das aves na avicultura, pois alguns fatores podem influenciar na produtividade uma vez que diversos fatores podem influenciar diretamente na produtividade. É necessário criar ambientes livres de estresse climático, bem ventilados e que garantam conforto, eficiência e segurança para os animais. Recomenda-se, portanto, que o espaço seja suficiente para permitir que as aves se movimentem livremente, com boa ventilação e iluminação adequadas. Para garantir a eficácia da reforma e alcançar resultados superiores, é fundamental a escolha de equipamentos que proporcionem maior conforto. A pesquisa explicativa foi conduzida por meio de um estudo de caso, com base em dados coletados na unidade escolar Etec Dr. José Luiz Viana Coutinho. O projeto foi implementado em uma área de 48 hectares (77,95 metros quadrados), utilizando o aviário de postura, que abriga atualmente 64 aves. As possíveis consequências dessa intervenção incluem a reforma de um aviário, promovendo um investimento no conforto das aves, na produtividade e na sustentabilidade do empreendimento

The overall objective of the project is to promote improvements in the environment and equipment currently used in the raising of laying hens, with a focus on animal welfare. It was possible to achieve some of the following objectives: optimization of the equipment used, preventing feed waste, and improvement in the regulation of drinkers, preventing leaks and allowing an adequate flow of water in order to always provide clean water and in the necessary quantity. When evaluating animal welfare, a change in the behavior of the birds was observed, due to the increase in new equipment. The evidence, according to the research carried out, was that an adequate renovation was needed in view of the welfare of the birds in poultry farming, since some factors can influence productivity, since several factors can directly influence productivity. It is necessary to create environments free from climatic stress, well ventilated and that guarantee comfort, efficiency and safety for the animals. It is therefore recommended that the space be sufficient to allow the birds to move freely, with good ventilation and adequate lighting. To ensure the effectiveness of the renovation and achieve superior results, it is essential to choose equipment that provides greater comfort. The explanatory research was conducted through a case study, based on data collected at the Etec Dr. José Luiz Viana Coutinho school unit. The project was implemented in an area of 48 hectares (77.95 square meters), using the laying aviary, which currently houses 64 birds. The possible consequences of this intervention include the renovation of an aviary, promoting an investment in the comfort of the birds, in the productivity and in the sustainability of the enterprise.
