O uso das geotecnologias na agricultura urbana e periurbana no município de Guariba – SP

Abstract

O constante aumento dos preços dos alimentos está fazendo com que o poder aquisitivo e o acesso aos alimentos se tornem cada vez menor, prejudicando as famílias. Uma alternativa é a implantação e criação de novas áreas de Agricultura Urbana e Periurbana, que surgem como oportunidade existente de acesso a uma maior diversidade de alimentos suprindo as necessidades humanas, devido a sua característica de inserção em pequenos terrenos e reaproveitamento de materiais produzidos na própria cidade com pouco investimento inicial. Dessa forma, o objetivo principal desta pesquisa é investigar a atual situação da agricultura urbana na cidade de Guariba, propondo caminhos para a implantação de novas áreas, para atender à crescente necessidade de alternativas para a produção de alimentos saudáveis e nutritivos. Para o propósito, a metodologia do trabalho foi baseada principalmente em levantamento bibliográfico sobre a temática, fotointerpretação de imagens orbitais da área urbana de Guariba, sinopses de informações e reconhecimento das AUP existentes na área de estudo, elaborando-se um mapa indicando novas áreas, com a utilização do software QUANTUM QGIS. Ao final dessa pesquisa, espera-se que os resultados possam auxiliar a administração pública, e a população que esse tipo de atividade possa contribuir para melhorar as condições de alimentação da população guaribense de modo geral, com sugestões para a implantação de novas áreas de AUP, que permitam acesso a alimentos saudáveis e variados, reduzindo a quantidade de pessoas em situação de fome no município.

The constant increase in food prices is making purchasing power and access to food less and less, harming families. An alternative is the implementation and creation of new areas of Urban and Periurban Agriculture, which appear as an existing opportunity to access a greater diversity of foods that meet human needs, due to their characteristic of insertion in small plots of land and reuse of materials produced in the own city with little initial investment. Thus, the main objective of this research is to investigate the current situation of urban agriculture in the city of Guariba, proposing ways for the implantation of new areas, to meet the growing need for alternatives for the production of healthy and nutritious food. For this purpose, the methodology of the work was based mainly on a bibliographical survey on the subject, photointerpretation of orbital images of the urban area of Guariba, synopses of information and recognition of existing AUP in the study area, preparing a map indicating new areas, using the QUANTUM QGIS software. At the end of this research, it is expected that the results can help the public administration, and the population that this type of activity can contribute to improving the food conditions of the population of Guariba in general, with suggestions for the implementation of new areas of AUP, which allow access to healthy and varied food, reducing the number of people in a situation of hunger in the municipality.
