| Abstract: | Este estudo teve como objetivo caracterizar a avifauna que habita a Remanescente Florestal, propondo identificar também suas relações com o meio e entre si, em Caraguatatuba, São Paulo, Brasil. Foram realizadas duas expedições entre os meses de agosto de 2024 a setembro de 2024, utilizando o método da observação discreta e registro ocasional. Foi possível registrar um total de 22 espécies de aves distribuídas em 14 famílias e seis ordens. O estudo também analisou a riqueza, habitat preferencial, guilda alimentar e sensibilidade das espécies registradas. Dentre todas as espécies identificadas, sete são endêmicas da Mata Atlântica, uma encontra-se ameaçada e três são migratórias. De acordo com a entrevista realizada com os moradores e com os dados observados foi concluído que a proteção da área é necessária, tendo em vista sua riqueza em diversidade e fortes indícios de uma avifauna extremamente vasta. |
| Description: | This study aimed to characterize the birdlife that inhabits the Forest Remnant, proposing to also identify their relationships with the environment and with each other, in Caraguatatuba, São Paulo, Brazil. Two expeditions were carried out between August 2024 and September 2024, using the method of discreet observation and occasional recording. It was possible to record a total of 22 species of birds distributed in 14 families and six orders. The study also analyzed the richness, preferred habitat, feeding guild and sensitivity of the recorded species. Among all the species identified, seven are endemic to the Atlantic Forest, one is threatened and three are migratory. According to the interview carried out with the residents and the data observed, it was concluded that the protection of the area is necessary, given its rich diversity and strong evidence of an extremely vast bird fauna. |
