A importância da horta escolar na educação ambiental dos estudantes da Escola Municipal Nair Scamargman Corona – Santa Ernestina – SP

Abstract

O presente trabalho apresenta um estudo histórico referente as primeiras discussões sobre a Educação Ambiental em grandes conferências mundiais da ONU sobre o tema. Diante deste contexto histórico, este trabalho objetiva avaliar a aprendizagem dos estudantes da escola Nair Scarmagmam Corona em Santa Ernestina – SP, na faixa etária entre 9 e 10 anos, sobre a Educação Ambiental no processo de formação do Sujeito Ecológico, sob a perspectiva teórica de Carvalho (2012). Nesta pesquisa observou-se a importância da horta escolar no cotidiano dos estudantes. Acerca das ações de aprendizagem sobre Educação Ambiental relacionadas ao uso da horta, propôs-se as crianças a realização de desenhos, com posterior explicação das imagens pelos estudantes sobre suas impressões relacionados ao assunto. Com esta ação percebeu-se a maneira como as crianças pensam, agem e falam sobre Educação Ambiental e, desta forma, pode-se constatar a importância deste recurso didático para o ensino dos temas inerentes ao tema Educação Ambiental, sobretudo, para a aprendizagem e para a formação do Sujeito Ecológico.

This work presents a historical study regarding the first discussions on Environmental Education in major UN world conferences on the topic. Given this historical context, this work aims to evaluate the learning of students at the Nair Scarmagmam Corona school in Santa Ernestina – SP, aged between 9 and 10 years, about Environmental Education in the process of formation of the Ecological Subject, from the theoretical perspective of Carvalho (2012). In this research, the importance of the school garden in the daily lives of students was observed. Regarding the learning actions on Environmental Education related to the use of the garden, the children were asked to make drawings, with subsequent explanation of the images by the students about their impressions related to the subject. With this action, we noticed the way in which children think, act and talk about Environmental Education and, in this way, we can see the importance of this teaching resource for teaching themes inherent to the theme of Environmental Education, above all, for learning and for the formation of the Ecological Subject.
