Abstract: | The growing awareness of sustainability and collaborative economy motivates the search for alternatives to responsible consumption, especially in light of the negative impact of excessive consumerism, which depletes natural resources and increases solid waste. This Final Course Project proposes the creation of the website “Community Lend’s”, a platform for sharing resources within the community, facilitating access to items such as tools, books, and household utensils without the need for purchase. In addition to reducing waste, the website allows users to generate extra income by making their goods available on the platform. The methodology includes an analysis of excessive consumption and its relationship with waste production and social inequality. The website was designed with a focus on usability and security, promoting trust, collaboration, and a more supportive local economy. After development, it will be tested in a specific community to evaluate its impact on waste reduction, the strengthening of the circular economy, and access to essential goods for vulnerable individuals. It is concluded that the proposal fosters sustainability, social inclusion, and equitable access to resources, combating consumerism while providing income alternatives, contributing to more collaborative and resilient communities. |
