Complexo Agroindustrial Canavieiro: uma análise da indústria em Sertãozinho-SP no período 2008-2014

Abstract

Esse trabalho consistiu em elaborar inicialmente uma contextualização acerca do surgimento, desenvolvimento e expansão da agroindústria canavieira, no Brasil, destacando o estado de São Paulo e a cidade de Sertãozinho-SP. Estudou-se a dinâmica do setor, historicamente ligada ao aparato estatal, as dificuldades advindas com o fim da regulamentação concluída em 1999, depois de muitas divergências entre os agentes da indústria, finalmente chegando à contemporaneidade, avaliando os impactos da crise financeira mundial de 2008 e da crise de produção do setor em 2010, em especial no município de Sertãozinho, cuja principal atividade econômica, a indústria de transformação, está ligada à agroindústria canavieira. Foram avaliados os impactos no nível de emprego atrelados às crises anteriormente citadas, por meio da revisão bibliográfica e de dados secundários.

This work consisted in initially elaborating a contextualization about the emergence, development and expansion of the sugar cane agroindustry in Brazil, highlighting the state of São Paulo and the city of Sertãozinho-SP. We studied the dynamics of the sector, historically linked to the state apparatus, the difficulties arising from the end of the regulation concluded in 1999, after many divergences between the agents of the industry, finally arriving at the present time, evaluating the impacts of the 2008 global financial crisis and the Production crisis in 2010, especially in the municipality of Sertãozinho, whose main economic activity, the processing industry, is linked to the sugar cane industry. The impacts on the employment level linked to the above crises were evaluated through bibliographic review and secondary data.
