Mulheres nos cursos de T.I. e sua participação no mercado de trabalho: Uma análise por série temporal usando power BI

Abstract

A equidade de gênero e a inclusão das mulheres na área de Tecnologia da Informação (TI) são desafios de relevância global, principalmente por se tratar de uma área ascendente tanto ao surgimento das profissões do futuro quanto à remuneração e ao número de vagas disponíveis, porém predominantemente masculinas. Este artigo propõe investigar a representação de gênero nos cursos de Tecnologia da Informação no ensino superior brasileiro, entre os anos 2017 e 2022, bem como no mercado de trabalho desta área, e avaliar o progresso em direção a uma maior representatividade feminina no setor. Utiliza dados do Censo Educacional do Instituto Nacional de Estudos e Pesquisas Educacionais Anísio Teixeira (INEP), e ferramentas como Excel e Power BI para identificar tendências e padrões sobre o tema. Por meio de estudos bibliográficos e descritivos com abordagens longitudinais e qualiquantitativas, o artigo contribui para a discussão sobre igualdade de gênero e inclusão, além de fornecer insights sobre as tendências recentes na área de TI no contexto brasileiro.

Gender equality and the inclusion of women in the Information Technology (IT) area are challenges of global relevance, especially as this is an up and-coming area, both in terms of the emergence of the professions of the future and in terms of remuneration and the number of job vacancies available, but which is predominantly male. This article sets out to investigate gender representation in Information Technology courses in Brazilian higher education between 2017 and 2022, as well as in the job market in this area, and to assess progress towards greater female representation in this environment. It uses data from the educational census of the Anísio Teixeira National Institute for Educational Studies and Research (INEP) and tools such as Excel and Power BI software to identify trends and patterns on the subject. Through bibliographical and descriptive studies with longitudinal and qualitative quantitative approaches, the article contributes to the discussion on gender equality and inclusion, as well as providing insights into recent trends in the IT area in the Brazilian context.
