Análise e conscientização sobre segurança da informação em uma escola pública da RMC - SP

Abstract

A segurança da informação em escolas públicas é um desafio contínuo que demanda atenção e ações efetivas para mitigar riscos e proteger dados sensíveis de alunos e professores. Este estudo, realizado em uma escola da Região Metropolitana de Campinas, revelou que, embora haja uma conscientização inicial sobre práticas de segurança, ainda existem lacunas significativas que precisam ser abordadas. A pesquisa de campo mostrou que muitos professores ainda utilizam senhas fracas, têm dificuldades em identificar sites falsos e não estão totalmente cientes dos perigos do phishing. Além disso, o recebimento frequente de e-mails suspeitos destaca a necessidade de uma formação contínua e específica. Para melhorar a segurança da informação, este trabalho propôs a implementação de políticas claras e objetivas e um manual de conscientização para treinamento dos professores. A adoção dessas práticas não apenas fortalecerá a proteção dos dados, mas também criará um ambiente digital mais seguro e propício ao aprendizado. Através dessas iniciativas, espera-se que a escola possa reduzir significativamente as vulnerabilidades identificadas, garantindo a segurança dos dados e a integridade do ambiente escolar. A conclusão é que, com investimento em políticas de segurança e educação contínua, é possível criar uma cultura de segurança da informação sólida, essencial para o desenvolvimento educacional e tecnológico da instituição. Esta pesquisa reforça a importância de abordar a segurança da informação de maneira abrangente e proativa, envolvendo todos os membros da comunidade escolar e assegurando um futuro mais seguro para todos.

Information security in public schools is an ongoing challenge that requires attention and effective actions to mitigate risks and protect sensitive data of students and teachers. This study, conducted in a school in the Metropolitan Region of Campinas, revealed that although there is initial awareness about security practices, significant gaps still need to be addressed. Field research showed that many teachers still use weak passwords, have difficulties identifying fakes websites, and are not fully aware of the dangers of phishing. Additionally, the frequent receipt of suspicious emails highlights the need for continuous and specific training. To improve information security, this work proposed the implementation of clear and objective policies and an awareness manual for teacher training. The adoption of these practices will not only strengthen data protection but also create a safer and more conducive digital environment for learning. Through these initiatives, it is expected that the school can significantly reduce the identified vulnerabilities, ensuring the security of data and the integrity of the school environment. The conclusion is that with investment in security policies and continuous education, it is possible to create a solid information security culture, essential for the educational and technological development of the institution. This research reinforces the importance of addressing information security in a comprehensive and proactive manner, involving all members of the school community and ensuring a safer future for everyone.
