Abstract

A Apicultura é uma atividade que se apresenta como alternativa vantajosa e com ótimas perspectivas para as propriedades rurais, tanto as pequenas quanto as grandes. A criação de abelhas é uma atividade lucrativa e pode ser praticada pelo pequeno produtor rural ou agricultor familiar com perspectivas de conseguir bons resultados. Para isso, além de adotar as técnicas corretas, o criador precisa encarar a atividade como um negócio haja vista que a criação racional de abelhas, apresenta muitas vantagens como: não exigir uma grande propriedade para sua exploração, não poluir nem destruir o meio ambiente sendo uma atividade inserida no contexto da sustentabilidade e não exige grande investimento. A produção pode ser comercializada para suprir o mercado local, disponibilizada nos entrepostos de comercialização ou industrializadas para atender ao mercado externo, pois, além do mel, as abelhas oferecem vários outros produtos que podem ser utilizados na indústria alimentícia, farmacêutica e de cosméticos. Dentro desta atividade, uma das etapas de grande importância para que os bons resultados sejam obtidos com excelência e efetividade é a forma de manejo das abelhas e este artigo mostra a comparação entre dois tipos de manejo: o método tradicional e o método recuo, este último, idealizado pela professora e pesquisadora Clarice Saueresseg.

The producer can also add value to the products by being inserted in the new context of sustainability; respect for people and the environment. The calculations show that the project is viable. The percentage of return on investment is 8%. The return on investment is one year and seven months. Taking into account the appropriate management of the breeding, to ensure satisfactory productivity, plus the prospect of increased consumption, there will be a favorable market for bee products. The production can be commercialized to supply the local market, made available in the commercialization warehouses, or industrialized to supply the external market, both for the consumption of the products and for their use in the cosmetic, pharmaceutical, and food industries.
