NR – 20 segurança e saúde no trabalho com inflamáveis e combustíveis na indústria sucroalcooleira

Abstract

Na NR 20 encontramos requisitos mínimos de segurança e saúde no trabalho contra os fatores de riscos de acidentes provenientes das atividades de extração, produção, armazenamento, transferência, manuseio e manipulação de inflamáveis e líquidos combustíveis. Indústria sucroalcooleira é uma área da agroindústria, responsável por produzir açúcar, álcool, e outros derivados da cana-de-açúcar. É responsável, também, pela produção de energia, contando com o setor sucroenergético como subdivisão. Na produção de açúcar e álcool, a cana é produzida no campo, extraída e transportada para a indústria onde começa o processo de produção, sendo lavada, em seguida, triturada para a extração da sacarose. Com isso, a calda será tratada para remoção das impurezas e correção de PH. Para a produção do açúcar, o caldo precisa ainda passar pela etapa obrigatória de sulfitação, que serve para inibir algumas reações e reduzir a viscosidade do caldo. Para a produção do etanol, passa-se pelo processo de decantação e aquecimento, além da fermentação e destilação. A periculosidade dessas substâncias é extremamente alta, por isso é importante estabelecer regras que permitam a execução das atividades com baixo risco de acidentes. Plano de prevenção e controle de vazamentos, derramamentos, explosões e incêndios, com devida identificação de todas as fontes de emissão fugitivas, plano de resposta às emergências. O intuito deste trabalho foi abordar os requisitos mínimos para a gestão da saúde e segurança no trabalho em atividades com inflamáveis e líquidos combustíveis. Visando conscientizar e qualificar os trabalhadores sobre os riscos de eventuais acidentes e doenças ocupacionais, na execução de suas atividades laborais.

The danger of these substances is extremely high, so it is important to establish rules that guarantee the execution of activities with low risk of accidents. Plan for the prevention and control of leaks, spills, explosions and fires, with identification of all fugitive emission sources, emergency response plan. The purpose of this work was to address the minimum requirements for the management of health and safety at work in activities with flammable and combustible liquids. Aiming to raise awareness and qualify workers about the risks of accidents and occupational diseases, in the execution of their work activities.
