Revisão integrativa: uso do açúcar no tratamento de lesões infectadas

Abstract

RESUMO: O idoso se vê vulnerável, dependente e mais predisposto a adquirir qualquer comorbidades e doenças. Sabemos que existem muitas causas de danos ao paciente idoso, devido a seu envelhecimento e suas enfermidades, assim, a questão aqui estudada é fomentar sobre os cuidados de enfermagem a uma paciente com úlcera por pressão sendo o curativo com medidas alternativas. Existem atualmente diversos tipos de tratamento para úlcera por pressão, mas, o mais indicado e importante e a prevenção. O tratamento deve ser implantado quando as medidas preventivas não foram suficientes, a temática aqui estuda trata-se de medidas alternativas, aqui escolhida o uso do açúcar cristal, assim, objetivando com este trabalho apresentar uma revisão integrativa da literatura sobre o uso do açúcar no tratamento de feridas primeiramente sobre o tema “açúcar em tratamento de feridas” especificadamente em úlcera por pressão – UPP, despertou um interesse pelo fato de assistirmos o uso deste produto na prática da enfermagem, assim, para melhor entender ação dele perguntamos: Qual a ação do açúcar em tratamentos de Úlceras por Pressão-UPP?, a busca foi realizada na Base de Dados Scielo Br., encontrados 6 artigos utilizando os descritores “açúcar and feridas”, assim, foram categorizados os assuntos e separados em tabelas: dos objetivos dos artigos estudados; efeitos dos curativos e troca; estudo em humanos; Benefícios e Fragilidades do uso do açúcar em tratamento de feridas e a analise sistemática. Tendo em vista os aspectos apresentados nesta revisão literária no período de 1983 a 21012 sobre o uso de açúcar nas mais diferentes formas de feridas. Sugere-se o uso de açúcar como terapia alternativa de baixo custo, eficaz e de prática aplicação, com efeitos positivos no processo de cicatrização de feridas abertas. Porém em determinadas situações apresenta-se de difícil aplicabilidade manejo em seu uso. Foram retratados aspectos positivos em seu uso, porém pouca comparabilidade de estudos em humanos.

ABSTRACT: The elderly see themselves as vulnerable, dependent and more predisposed to acquiring any comorbidities and diseases. We know that there are many causes of damage to elderly patients, due to their aging and illnesses, so the question studied here is to promote nursing care for a patient with pressure ulcers, with the dressing being alternative measures. There are currently several types of treatment for pressure ulcers, but the most indicated and important is prevention. The treatment must be implemented when the preventive measures were not enough, the theme studied here is about alternative measures, here chosen the use of crystal sugar, thus, aiming with this work to present an integrative review of the literature on the use of sugar in the treatment of wounds, primarily on the theme “sugar in wound treatment”, specifically in pressure ulcers – UPP, aroused interest due to the fact that we observe the use of this product in nursing practice, so, to better understand its action, we asked: What is the action of sugar in treatments for Pressure Ulcers-UPP?, the search was carried out in the Scielo Br. Database, 6 articles were found using the descriptors “sugar and wounds”, thus, the subjects were categorized and separated into tables: articles studied; effects of dressings and changing; study in humans; Benefits and Fragilities of the use of sugar in the treatment of wounds and a systematic analysis. In view of the aspects presented in this literary review in the period from 1983 to 21012 on the use of sugar in the most different forms of wounds. The use of sugar is suggested as a low-cost, effective and practical alternative therapy, with positive effects on the healing process of open wounds. However, in certain situations, it is difficult to manage its use. Positive aspects of its use were portrayed, but little comparability of human studies.
