Surdos no mercado de trabalho: inclusão excludente ou exclusão includente?

Abstract

Embora existam as leis vigentes, o surdo ainda batalha contra dificuldades ao entrar e permanecer no local de trabalho, mesmo que várias empresas tenham uma cautela especial diante da necessidade de inclusão. O desenvolvimento do artigo exposto busca mostrar uma análise do universo empresarial dos surdos profundos, o qual agrega seu ingresso, seu cotidiano e seu desligamento. Diante do estudo elaborado, foi possível identificar a dificuldade dos surdos para se comunicarem, bem como as adequações fundamentais para incluí-los no ambiente empresarial. A metodologia empregada é denominada pesquisa de campo de caráter qualitativo, o que permitiu realizar uma entrevista com os surdos profundos que trabalham em organizações da Região Metropolitana de Campinas. Dos dados analisados observamos, portanto, que a comunicação desses colaboradores é limitada e interfere em seu crescimento profissional. Salienta-se, ainda, o alto valor da Língua Brasileira de Sinais (Libras) para uma integração e comunicação efetivas com as pessoas surdas nas organizações.

Although the laws exist, the deaf still struggles with entering and staying in the workplace, even though many companies are concerned about the need for inclusion. The development of the exposed article shows an analysis of the business universe of the profound deaf, which aggregates the entrance, the daily life and the disconnection. In view of the study, it was possible to identify the difficulty of the deaf to communicate, as well as the fundamental adjustments to include them in the business environment. The methodology used is called qualitative field research, which made it possible to carry out an interview with the profoundly deaf who work in organizations in the Metropolitan Region of Campinas, and because of this, it was concluded that their communication is limited, whose consequence is to hinder their professional growth, in the same way that some companies prefer non-profound deaf people. The high value of the Brazilian Sign Language (Libras) is also highlighted for a decent integration and communication dedicated to the deaf in organizations.
