Acreditação hospitalar

Abstract

A Acreditação Hospitalar destina-se a abranger níveis e normas a implantar em uma instituição de saúde. Apesar de seguir os padrões de avaliações houve um acréscimo de avaliação global dos recursos institucionais, tornando-a assim, específica apenas para instituição de saúde. Essa certificação é garantida através de avaliações por empresas não governamentais sem fins lucrativos e no Brasil a Organização Nacional de Acreditação (ONA) é a instituição responsável por credenciar as entidades, reconhecida pela Agência Nacional de Vigilância Sanitária (ANVISA) e o Ministério da Saúde como órgão responsável pelo credenciamento das organizações prestadoras de serviços de saúde do país, sendo a Joint Comission on Accreditation of Hospitals (JCAHO) criada no Estados Unidos em 1951, pioneira no ramo. Desta forma o objetivo específico deste artigo foi mostrar de forma coerente o funcionamento da acreditação hospitalar, para se tornar uma entidade acreditada e o funcionamento dos níveis de acreditação e as melhorias contínuas de acordo com o manual. O procedimento metodológico utilizado foi a pesquisa bibliográfica voltada a acreditação hospitalar e implementação em hospitais, artigos científicos específicos sobre o funcionamento e melhorias das entidades responsáveis pela implementação da acreditação, de forma que todos possam compreender o sistema de uma acreditação hospitalar. Concluindo assim a importância e os benefícios adquiridos através do sistema de acreditação, que tem como principal objetivo a qualidade dos serviços prestados à população.

Hospital Accreditation is intended to cover levels and standards to be implemented in a health institution. Despite following the standards of evaluations there was an increase of global evaluation of institutional resources, making it so, specifies only for health institution. This certification is guaranteed through evaluations by nongovernmental non-profit organizations and in Brazil the National Accreditation Organization (ONA) is the institution responsible for accrediting the entities, recognized by the National Health Surveillance Agency (ANVISA) and the Ministry of Health as the body responsible for accrediting the country's health service organizations, and the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Hospitals (JCAHO) was created in the United States in 1951, a pioneer in the field. In this way the specific objective of this article was to show consistently the functioning of hospital accreditation, to become an accredited entity and the functioning of accreditation levels and continuous improvements according to the manual. The methodological procedure used was the bibliographic research aimed at hospital accreditation and implementation in hospitals, specific scientific articles on the functioning and improvements of the entities responsible for the implementation of accreditation, so that everyone can understand the system of a hospital accreditation. Concluding the importance and the benefits acquired through the accreditation system, whose main objective is the quality of the services provided to the population.
