A engenharia social no aspecto pandêmico

Abstract

Este trabalho apresenta a engenharia social, uma das vertentes da segurança da informação e como esta é utilizada para a obtenção de informações. Partindo da premissa que nos dias de hoje a informação tornou-se um bem para as empresas, este bem acabou ganhando a atenção de alguns hackers, chamados de engenheiros sociais que visam atacar as companhias através de seus colaboradores e também os usuários finais. O fator humano atualmente é considerado como uma vulnerabilidade, já que pode ser influenciado, convencido ou enganado, diferentemente dos sistemas em que o invasor deve dispor de muitas habilidades técnicas. Com o aumento significativo das tecnologias e meios de defesa dos sistemas de informações mais robustos, os hackers voltaram suas atenções para os colaboradores das empresas. No âmbito da pandemia do covid-19 os casos relacionados a engenharia social ganharam ainda mais destaques, pois com a disseminação de fake news e a desinformação da maioria das pessoas os hackers aproveitaram para realizar ataques massivos, seja para empresas ou até pessoas comuns.

This work presents the social engineering, one of the ways of information security and how it is used to obtain information. Starting from the premise that nowadays information has become essential for companies, this ended up gaining the attention of some hackers, called social engineers, who aim to attack companies through their employees and also the users. The human factor is currently considered a vulnerability, as it can be influenced, convinced or deceived, unlike systems where the attacker must have a lot of technical skills. With the significant increase in technologies and means of defense of the most robust information systems, hackers turned their attention to company employees. In the context of the covid-19 pandemic, cases related to social engineering gained and important place, as the fake news spread and the disinformation of most people, hackers took the opportunity to carry out massive attacks, whether against companies or even to regular people.
