Melagon

Abstract

O tema deste trabalho é meliponicultura, ou seja, a criação de abelhas sem ferrão. Pesquisas foram realizadas e notaram-se uma certa ausência de informações nessa área. O objetivo deste projeto é criar um site chamado Melagon, cujo propósito é ajudar as pessoas a criarem suas próprias colônias de abelhas sem ferrão em suas casas, além de fazer com que esse tipo específico de abelha seja mais distribuído demograficamente e preservado. Para isso, a Melagon oferece três recursos principais: o primeiro é a Loja, focada na venda de produtos que auxiliam o meliponicultor iniciante como caixas racionais, mel e própolis; o segundo é a Enciclopédia, que introduz informações necessárias para orientar as pessoas que querem começar a criar suas próprias abelhas; e por fim o Blog, que traz notícias sobre meliponicultura. O projeto visa incentivar a meliponicultura para que as abelhas sem ferrão sejam mais conhecidas e distribuídas demograficamente, o que ajudaria na preservação dessas espécies. A Melagon mostra como a meliponicultura é uma atividade sustentável e como ela pode oferecer benefícios tanto para a natureza quanto para a saúde do meliponicultor, visto que as abelhas melíponas produzem um mel de alto valor nutricional, rico em sais minerais e aminoácidos, atuando no sistema cardiovascular e imunológico. Essas propostas formam o maior objetivo deste Trabalho de Conclusão de Curso.

The matter of this work is about meliponiculture, in other words, the creation of stingless bees. Searches were realized and were noticed a certain absence of information on this area. The purpose of this project is to create a website called Melagon, whose intention is to help people to create their own stingless bees colonies in their homes, in addition to making this specific type of bees more demographically distributed and preserved. For this, Melagon offers three main resources: first is Encyclopedia, that introduces necessary informations to guide people who want to start raising their own bees; second is the Blog, that brings news about meliponiculture; and lastly is Shop, focused on selling products that help beginner beekeepers like rational boxes, honey and propolis. The project aims to encourage the meliponiculture so that stingless bees are better known and distributed, which would help in the preservation of thse species. Melagon shows how meliponiculture is a sustainable activity and how it can offer benefits both for nature and for the beekeeper’s health, since melipona bees produce honey with high nutritional value, rich in mineral salts and amino acids, acting on the cardiovascular and immune systems. These proposals make the greatest goal of this Final Course Work.
