Human beings have always depended on the environment for their survival, and in Brazil, this dependence intensified with agricultural development. The use of modern machines in the agricultural sector has replaced old equipment, which, in many cases, has led to the abandonment or inappropriate disposal of these materials. This represents a threat to the environment, with oil, chemical and metal leaks damaging the soil. The objective of the research is to highlight the importance of reverse logistics for these agricultural implements, promoting awareness and supervision in accordance with current legislation. The research used specialized bibliographic sources. It is concluded that reverse logistics, combined with technology, is a viable solution to mitigate these impacts and contribute to economic and environmental sustainability, although legislation needs to evolve.
