Espaço, memória e fotografia : a representação fotográfica da Escola Estadual Antônio Padilha

Abstract

AEscola Estadual Antônio Padilha é um dos mais importantes patrimônios históricos de Sorocaba, reunindo mais de 130 anos de história, educação e relevância cultural. Entretanto, a escolha deste edifício para o desenvolvimento do presente trabalho não ocorreu apenas por seu valor arquitetônico e patrimonial, mas também pela relação pessoal que possuo com esse espaço. Como ex-aluno da instituição, vivi experiências, construí memórias e acompanhei parte da trajetória que torna a escola tão significativa para a cidade e para seus estudantes. Com o passar dos anos e com a formação técnica em Design de Interiores, passei a enxergar o edifício sob uma nova perspectiva, compreendendo não apenas sua importância afetiva, mas também sua riqueza arquitetônica e histórica. Dessa forma, este trabalho tem como objetivo registrar e valorizar a arquitetura da Escola Estadual Antônio Padilha por meio da fotografia arquitetônica, contribuindo para a preservação de sua memória, identidade e legado para as futuras gerações.

The Antônio Padilha State School is one of the most important historical landmarks in Sorocaba, bringing together more than 130 years of history, education, and cultural relevance. However, the choice of this building for the development of this work was not only due to its architectural and heritage value, but also because of the personal relationship I have with this space. As a former student of the institution, I lived experiences, built memories, and followed part of the trajectory that makes the school so significant for the city and its students. Over the years and with technical training in Interior Design, I began to see the building from a new perspective, understanding not only its affective importance, but also its architectural and historical richness. Thus, this work aims to record and value the architecture of the Antônio Padilha State School through architectural photography, contributing to the preservation of its memory, identity, and legacy for future generations.
