This article analyzes an academic cultural production carried out at Fatec in Jundiai. It describes a religious celebration known as Día de los Muertos that brings together indigenous and Spanish beliefs. Day of the Dead is one of the most popular dates celebrated in Mexico and is currently considered an element of national identity. This celebration was declared by UNESCO in 2003 as an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. This study, inspired by the Altares de Muertos contests called by the State Center for Technological Education Paula Souza in partnership with the Consulate General of Mexico, focuses on the process of designing an altar using the concepts of Logistics. In this scenario, the present study has the following question: is it possible to consider an artistic work materialized on an altar of the dead as a logistical product? Thus, the general objective is to identify the logistical operations that were relevant in the different phases of the project construction process. The methodology used was based on bibliographic research. The results obtained suggested that applying the precepts of logistics was positive in the process of elaborating the altar. As a result of this work, it was found that the experience of this montage made it possible for those involved to experience a relevant cultural aspect of the Mexican tradition.
