Fusões e aquisições no setor sucroenergético de 2000-2014

Abstract

Ao longo dos últimos anos o setor sucroenergético passou por grandes e constantes transformações. Por ser um dos mais dinâmicos, tem a capacidade de evoluir sempre com o desenvolvimento de novos produtos e tecnologias, o que aumenta a sua capacidade de atrair grandes investidores. Com isso, o presente trabalho teve como objetivo analisar e entender a evolução do processo das grandes fusões e aquisições entre as empresas investidoras e quais foram as suas motivações. Além de mostrar, também, o declínio do setor nos últimos anos e as medidas tomadas para a sua recuperação. Para tanto, foi realizado um acompanhamento destes eventos na imprensa com os principais dados de empresas que possibilitam demonstrar a evolução do setor, nomeando os investidores e datando as grandes aquisições. Com isso concluímos que as medidas tomadas pelo governo, fizeram com que as grandes empresas aguardassem a reação do setor, para poderem continuar investindo.

Over the last years the sugarcane sector has undergone major nd constants transformations. For being one of the most dynamic, has the ability to always evolve with the development of new products and technologies, which increases it's ability to attract large investors. Thus, the present study aimed to analyze and understand the evolution process of major mergers and acquisitions between investing companies and what were your motivations. Besides, we also show the decline of the sector in recent years and the measures taken for its recovery. For this, a monitoring these events in the media with the major companies that enable data demonstrate the evolution of the sector, naming the investors and major acquisitions dating was performed. Thus, we conclude that the measures taken by the government, made the big companies await the reaction of the industry in order to continue investing.
