Conclui-se que, apesar dos desafios estruturais e da necessidade de maiores investimentos e qualificação profissional, a automação e a sustentabilidade são importantes para a competitividade da logística brasileira no cenário global. dc.description.abstractThis article analyzes the evolution of land transportation in Brazil, comparing the traditional logistics model with the innovations introduced by the Digital Age and Logistics 4.0. The bibliographical research addresses how the history of road transport has generated economic vulnerability and imbalances in the national infrastructure. It studies the role of technologies such as the Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), Big Data, and Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) in the modernization of the road and rail sectors. The results indicate that the transition to intelligent infrastructure allows for predictive maintenance of pavements and tracks, as well as route optimization that reduces operational costs and the emission of polluting gases. It concludes that, despite structural challenges and the need for greater investment and professional training, automation and sustainability are important for the competitiveness of Brazilian logistics in the global scenario.
