Turismo LGBTQIA+ em Presidente Prudente: possibilidades e desafios

Abstract

Os eventos LGBTQIA+ movimentam o turismo e a economia de muitos países há anos. Os eventos e atrações proporcionados por gestores de eventos, artistas e empresas do ramo LGBTQIA+ tem como diferencial a animação, as temáticas diferentes e apresentações modernas do mercado artístico. O objetivo principal dessa pesquisa foi compreender as possibilidades e desafios do turismo LGBTQIA+ na cidade de Presidente Prudente – SP. Quando citamos o público LGBTQIA+, essa definição não se limita só a pessoas desse grupo, mas também todos aqueles que frequentam esses eventos. Essa pesquisa classifica-se como é qualitativa, quantitativa, exploratória, descritiva e explicativa, em que foi realizado um estudo bibliográfico sobre essa temática. Foram aplicados dois questionários online: um ao setor hoteleiro da cidade e outro para um grupo, com questões relacionadas ao turismo e eventos LGBTQIA+, a fim de verificar como esses dois agentes pensam e se organizam em relação a esse tipo de prática turística e festa. Para o setor hoteleiro enviamos o questionário online para 21 estabelecimentos e obtivemos respostas de 5 estabelecimentos. Para o público LGBTQIA+, enviamos o questionário para 150 pessoas e recebemos 44 respostas. Após a análise das informações coletadas consideramos que entre os desafios para a estruturação do turismo e dos eventos LGBTQIA+ na cidade de Presidente Prudente - SP, está a implantação de ações mais inclusivas pelo setor hoteleiro que respondeu ao questionário e como possibilidade a elaboração de um calendário anual de eventos LGBTQIA+ no município, tornando-a referência no turismo LGBTQIA+.

LGBTQIA+ events have been moving tourism and the economy of many countries for years. The events and attractions provided by event managers, artists and companies in the LGBTQIA+ branch have as a differential the animation, different themes and modern presentations of the artistic market. The main objective of this research was to understand the possibilities and challenges of LGBTQIA+ tourism in the city of Presidente Prudente – SP. When we quote LGBTQIA+ audiences, this definition is not limited to just people from that group, but also everyone who attends these events. This research is classified as qualitative, exploratory, descriptive and explanatory, in which a bibliographic study on this theme was carried out. Two online questionnaires were applied: one to the city's hotel sector and the other to a group, with questions related to tourism and LGBTQIA+ events, in order to verify how these two agents think and organize themselves in relation to this type of tourist practice and party. For the hotel sector, we sent the online questionnaire to 21 establishments and received responses from 5 establishments. For the LGBTQIA+ audience, we sent the questionnaire to 150 people and received 44 responses. After analyzing the collected information, we believe that among the challenges for structuring tourism and LGBTQIA+ events in the city of Presidente Prudente - SP, is the implementation of more inclusive actions by the hotel sector that answered the questionnaire and as a possibility to prepare a calendar annual event of LGBTQIA+ in the city, making it a reference in LGBTQIA+ tourism.
