Deficientes auditivos e comunicação no trabalho: a importância da língua brasileira de sinais

Abstract

A contratação de deficiente, seja físico, mental, auditivo, visual, ou múltiplo, no mercado de trabalho, mesmo com as leis que asseguram a contratação dessa população ainda encontra dificuldades para a inserção no ambiente empresarial. Para os deficientes auditivos, um os impedimentos encontrados, está na questão da comunicação entre o deficiente e o ouvinte. A comunicação utilizada pelos surdos é a Língua Brasileira de Sinais, porém, grande parte da população não tem conhecimento, ou habilidade com essa língua. Isso se dá por não haver incentivo, ou interesse da população para que tenha uma comunicação adequada entre todos. O trabalho em questão, tem como foco principal, a população com deficiência auditiva, objetivando identificar as dificuldades desses indivíduos em relação à comunicação com seus pares, em especial no âmbito empresarial, além de destacar a relevância da Língua Brasileira de Sinais – LIBRAS à comunicação das pessoas surdas, abordando os desafios na comunicação e verificando o quão capacitado está o mercado de trabalho para a interação com as pessoas surdas. O trabalho apresenta um breve histórico sobre as deficiências, a diferença entre as deficiências, a população surda, a inclusão da língua e dos deficientes auditivos no mercado de trabalho, e as leis referentes aos surdos. A pesquisa, foi realizada por meio do Google Forms, com um total de 14 questões, abertas e fechadas. Os respondentes totalizaram em 41 participantes, todos da cidade de Piracicaba/SP. A pesquisa buscou identificar o conhecimento dos sujeitos sobre os deficientes auditivos, a LIBRAS e o mercado de trabalho, visando à inclusão dos mesmos e da língua no meio empresarial.

Inclusion of people with disabilities, whether physical, mental, auditory, visual, or multiple, in the labor market, even with laws that ensure these people hiring they still face difficulties to enter the business environment. For the hearing impaired, one of the difficulties concerning communication between people who cannot hear and those who can. Deaf people use the Brazilian Sign Language to communicate, however, a large part of the population has no knowledge, or ability with this language. This is because there is no incentive for people to learn it, lack of interest to have adequate communication among them all. This work’s focus is the population with hearing loss, aiming to identify the difficulties of these individuals in relation to the communication with their peers, especially in the business scope, besides highlighting the relevance of the Brazilian Sign Language - LIBRAS to communication of deaf people, addressing the challenges in communication and verifying how skilled the labor market is for interaction with deaf people. This research presents a brief history of the disabilities, the difference between disabilities, deaf population, inclusion of language and people with this kind of need in the labor market, and laws concerning deaf people. The survey was carried out through Google Forms, with a total of open and close 14 questions. Respondents totaled 41 participants, all from the city of Piracicaba / SP. The research sought to identify the subjects' knowledge about the hearing impaired, LIBRAS and the job market, as far as the inclusion of them and their language in the business environment.
