O papel do agente de carga no modal aéreo: sua importância e influência sobre o frete internacional.

Abstract

O modal aéreo se destaca por sua rapidez e segurança no transporte de mercadorias e pessoas, exercendo um papel extremamente importante na economia global e no comércio internacional. O presente trabalho busca ampliar os conhecimentos acerca da importância do agente de carga neste modal, bem como sua influência no cálculo do frete aéreo internacional, visto que é uma temática pouco abordada devido a maior parte das movimentações de cargas internacionais serem realizadas por meio do transporte marítimo. Por outro lado, é imprescindível compreender sobre a IATA - International Air Transport Association (Associação Internacional de Transporte Aéreo), associação que presta grande auxílio na questão da base de cálculo do frete e regulamentações do transporte aéreo como um todo. Diante da consolidação das mercadorias realizada pelos agentes de carga, é possível obter benefícios econômicos aos embarcadores e companhias, com a redução de custos, eficiência operacional e otimização do uso do espaço nas aeronaves. Portanto, o intuito é expandir o entendimento sobre o papel deste transitário, considerado essencial para o melhor funcionamento do comércio internacional.

The air modal stands out for its speed and safety in transporting goods and people, playing an extremely important role in the global economy and international trade. The present paper seeks to expand knowledge about the importance of the freight forwarder in this modal, as well as its influence on the calculation of international air freight, as it is a topic rarely discussed due to the majority of international cargo movements being carried out through maritime transport. On the other hand, it is essential to understand IATA - International Air Transport Association, an association that provides great assistance in the issue of the freight calculation basis and air transport regulations as a whole. Due to the consolidation of goods carried out by cargo agents, it is possible to obtain economic benefits for shippers and carriers, with cost reduction, operational efficiency and optimization of the use of space on aircraft. Therefore, the aim is to expand the understanding of the role of this freight forwarder, considered essential for the better functioning of international trade.
