The aim was to create pieces that express authenticity and resonate with an alternative audience. The research explored both artistic movements and their application in contemporary fashion, examining colors, textures, and materials capable of conveying the fusion between surreal and futuristic concepts. The creative process included the development of prototypes, fabric testing, and the construction of looks divided into three phases: human, transitional, and parallel. Coleção: retrato de uma mulher Authors: DUARTE, Jaqueline Cristina Leme; CRISTINO, Maria Eduarda Andrade; OLIVEIRA, Vera Lucia da Silva Abstract: Este artigo tem como objetivo ressaltar o efeito das emoções humanas na percepção do mundo e de si mesmo. Mais especificamente, busca-se analisar como a visão da sociedade sobre as jovens mulheres influencia a maneira como elas próprias enxergam seus corpos e identidades. Para tanto, toma-se como base a vanguarda expressionista alemã — movimento artístico que se fundamenta na distorção da realidade a partir da subjetividade do artista. Os ideais discutidos por Warley Souza - professor de Português e Literatura, com licenciatura e mestrado em Letras pela Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais - sobre esse movimento são aqui considerados, juntamente com os estudos de Sigmund Freud sobre o inconsciente, conforme apresentados em seu livro A Interpretação dos Sonhos, publicado em 1900. A partir desses ideais, foi realizada uma pesquisa com o objetivo de conectar a vanguarda expressionista aos corpos femininos, resultando no desenvolvimento de uma coleção de roupas. A proposta buscou destacar o corpo e as transformações vivenciadas pelas mulheres em um período de transição, como a saída da adolescência. Com base nisso, a coleção trabalhou alfaiatarias desconstruídas e joviais, alinhadas às tendências relevantes para a época abordada e para o público-alvo. O resultado é uma coleção com modelagens marcantes, inserida em uma estética de escritório retrabalhado, interpretada sob a perspectiva da geração Z.; This article aims to highlight the effect of human emotions on the perception of the world and of oneself. More specifically, it seeks to analyze how society’s view of young women influences the way they perceive their own bodies and identities. To this end, the study draws on the German Expressionist avant-garde — an artistic movement based on the distortion of reality through the artist’s subjectivity. The ideas discussed by Warley Souza (a Portuguese and Literature professor with a bachelor’s degree and a master’s in Letters from the Federal University of Minas Gerais) regarding this movement are considered here, along with Sigmund Freud’s studies on the unconscious, as presented in his book The Interpretation of Dreams, published in 1900. Based on these concepts, research was conducted with the aim of connecting Expressionist avant-garde principles to female bodies, resulting in the development of a clothing collection. The project sought to highlight the body and the transformations experienced by women during a period of transition, such as the passage from adolescence to adulthood. Accordingly, the collection explored deconstructed and youthful tailoring, aligned with trends relevant to both the period addressed and the target audience. A pesquisa parte da reflexão sobre a ausência de narrativas negras nas projeções de futuro presentes na moda e na cultura visual, propondo uma releitura desse imaginário a partir de referências afro-brasileiras, tecnológicas e simbólicas. O objetivo foi criar uma coleção que unisse elementos do futurismo e da ancestralidade africana, explorando formas, cores e materiais que traduzem a conexão entre passado, presente e futuro. The research stems from a critical reflection on the absence of Black narratives in future-oriented representations within fashion and visual culture, proposing a reimagining of this imaginary through Afro-Brazilian, technological, and symbolic references. The aim was to create a collection that merges elements of futurism with African ancestry, exploring shapes, colors, and materials that express the connection between past, present, and future. A proposta tende a transmitir o tema através de peças geométricas e orgânicas, incluindo o sentimento irreal do conceito de almas gêmeas, o amor, sendo idealizado como destaque da coleção, as peças incluindo um noivo e uma noiva. A ideia busca expressar a leveza dos sentimentos e o contraste entre o real e o imaginário por meio de formas assimétricas e sobreposições. O estudo fundamenta-se nas ideias de André Breton e Sigmund Freud, que influenciaram o movimento surrealista ao valorizar o inconsciente e os sonhos como fontes de criação. Como principal referência visual, utilizou-se o curta-metragem Destino (parceria entre Dalí e Walt Disney), cuja narrativa inspirou a criação das peças: o segmento masculino representa a rigidez de Cronos, enquanto o feminino expressa a fluidez de Dahlia. Assim, a coleção Inefável traduz o imaginário surrealista em formas contemporâneas e poéticas em uma estética emocional .; The Ineffable Spring-Summer collection has as its theme Surrealism, a strand of the European Vanguards, with emphasis on the works of Salvador Dalí. The proposal tends to convey the theme through fluid and , including the feeling and unreal connection of the concept of soul mates, love, being idealized as a highlight of the collection the pieces, including a groom and a bride. The idea seeks to express the lightness of feelings and the contrast between the real and the imaginary through asymmetric shapes and overlaps. The André Breton and Sigmund Freud, who influenced the surrealist movement by valuing the unconscious and dreams as source of creation. As the main visual reference, the short film Destiny (partners’ hip between Dalí and Walt Disney) was used, whose narrative inspired the creation of the pieces: the male segment represents the rigidity of Cronos, while the female one expresses the fluidity and sensitivity of Dahlia. The fabrics and colors were chose to reflect surrealist essence, uniting art and fashion in an aesthetic and emotional language.
